Today’s post is a bit different from my other posts. This morning, I’m excited to share that I’m hosting this month’s Pasta Please food blogging challenge. This is a challenge where all food bloggers out there are encouraged to create a pasta dish on their blog, then share the link over here with us all. It’s a great way to get pasta inspirations and to meet new bloggers, and I can’t wait to see what gets cooked up this month. I’ll post a recipe round-up at the end of the month to showcase all the submissions.
Since each month follows a different theme, I’m excited to tell you that the theme for this month’s Pasta Please is Last Minute Pastas.
Do you have a pasta dish that can be thrown together at the last minute? On the evening that Jonathan and I came back from our last trip to New York, we were starving, but it was 10 PM by the time we got back to our flat and all the shops were closed. We only had a lone bag of spaghetti in the cupboard. What did we do? We made a last minute pasta! Pasta, olive oil, salt and pepper!
I chose this theme because December is always a month is all about “last minutes” for me. Maybe you can relate? Presents to buy for everyone, holiday cards to mail out, cooking for dinner parties, plans for new years eve… To be honest, I’m already scrambling a bit … December has already started, and I’m just posting this challenge! Sorry about that guys.
This is a breakfast and brunch blog, but feel free to link up any last minute pasta dishes you make. If you have a breakfast or brunch pasta dish, gold stars for you! I’ve been thinking about how pasta carbonara really is all things breakfast — eggs, bacon and butter. Could I possibly make pasta carbonara into a breakfast? Yuuuuuuum.
So let’s get this link up started! Simply post your recipe on your blog by 28th December, and link it up here. There are just a few simple rules:
- One entry per blog.
- Link back to Tinned Tomatoes (creator of the challenge) and The Worktop (host of this month’s challenge).
- Use the Pasta Please logo (shown above) in your post.
- If you use twitter, tweet your post to @tinnedtoms and @theworktop using #PastaPlease, and we will re-tweet all that we see.
- Link up below by December 28th.
I’ll post the round-up at the end of the month. Go go go!
