Time for a chestnut recipe! Bring on the holiday cheer with this Four Ingredient Chestnut Smoothie recipe! It will leave a taste of Christmas in your mouth. (Plus, it's quick and simple to make during the busy holiday season.)
Every year, I have to work pretty hard to get Jonathan into the holiday spirit. The first year we were together, we got in a fight because he didn't like it when I played Christmas music (can we say grinch?)!
Two years later, Christmas music rings throughout the apartment every December and we have settled on mini-Christmas trees, but he still needs a little push to get into it (by the way, the weather is not helping - it's still in the 50's F / teens C).
This year, I present to you a chestnut recipe -- the Four Ingredient Chestnut Smoothie.
I'm pushing Jonathan's holiday spirit boundary little by little each year, and this winter, I wanted to bring some holiday cheer with a chestnut recipe.
Since Jonathan loves his smoothies in the morning, it seemed like a perfect solution for a holiday breakfast.
It took a bit of coaxing to get him started on the smoothie, but once he did, he promptly finished it. Feels good to have made him a bit more festive :)
Chestnuts are naturally an easy flavor to work with because they are not overpowering, so it works well in a smoothie. You'll only get a hint of chestnuts as an aftertaste, but that is no bad thing, especially if you want to leave the taste of Christmas in someone's mouth.
And did I mention how quick and easy this is to make? It only takes four ingredients to make this Chestnut Smoothie recipe!

I LOVE chestnuts and this looks delicious - the only sad thing is that it looks like it should contain alcohol and it doesn't :-(
Have a great Christmas Tina!
