If you're looking for something cozy, this Hot Pumpkin Spice Drink is exactly what you need! It's delicious in the morning as a coffee substitute, and comforting in the evening when you need to wind down and relax. You can think of it as a hot chocolate made with pumpkin, or a pumpkin spice latte without the espresso. In either case, don't skimp on the whipped cream ;)

Lately, I'm obsessed with Hygge. The most common translation of this Danish word, pronounced "hoo-ga" is "coziness", but from what I can gather, it doesn't quite fully capture the meaning.

Think of sitting by the fireplace while wearing thick socks, or a dinner gathering with friends drinking hot stew around a rustic table. Hygge encapsulates those moments.

It's something I've been trying to create at my own home lately. As I write this, the puppy is snuggled on my lap against my baby bump, and I'm sipping on a mug of this Hot Pumpkin Spice Drink.

This Hot Pumpkin Spice Drink will make you feel warm and cozy

We've lit a scented candle, so there's a bit of yellow glow in the corner of my eye and the faint sweet smell of pine. It's all quite perfect, though I think I might need to just shut down the computer, relax and enjoy the hygge.

Don't worry, before I do that, I'll leave you with the recipe for this Hot Pumpkin Spice Drink. You can think of it like a hot chocolate, but made with pumpkin. Or as a pumpkin spice latte, but without the espresso.

Or you can think of it as it's own thing - a Hot Pumpkin Spice Drink that's sure to bring hygge to your home.

Enjoy this Hot Pumpkin Spice Drink as a coffee alternative, or as a way to wind down the day

It's perfect for this time of year. If I were only still young enough to go trick-or-treating, I am sure I'd love a mug of this when I was done running around the neighborhood (hint hint from all the kiddos out there)!

I really hope you are able to enjoy some pumpkin for breakfast this season!

That sounds extremely interesting ... I'd ever thought to put pumpkin in a drink. And it would be perfect for the cool weather we are still experiencing.

Thank you, Claudia. I don't know how you do it without drinking coffee (I could never!), but yes, I do love this pumpkin spice drink as an alternative for the days I've had too much coffee!

Pumpkin flavoured drinks really haven't caught on in Australia. I have always found them a bit of a fascination, but now I can make one at home to try!! Thank you :)

Congrats to you! I'll be making a slight variation of this for a kid's birthday party (a chilled version), so you can keep this recipe in mind for when the little one grows up too ;)

This sounds sooooooo good! I would probably add espresso anyway, because I'm an addict, but this is a great caffeine free version of the most popular drink ever! Gorgeous photos! And congrats on the bump :)
