Indulge on Valentine’s Day with this Sweetheart Ice Cream Breakfast Parfait. Layered fresh fruits and granola, topped with a scoop (or two!) of Häagen-Dazs Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream, and finished off with a drizzle of chocolate.

This post is sponsored by Häagen-Dazs in their campaign to celebrate the importance of REAL ingredients by encouraging people to share their REAL Valentine’s Day.

Ice cream is not my go-to breakfast, but I’ve definitely snuck it in before. Who can turn down Pancake Ice Cream Sandwiches once they get that idea in their head? Or if you have something to celebrate, that sounds like just cause to make Funfetti Waffles with Ice Cream.

Dig in and enjoy ice cream for breakfast with this granola parfait

And since Valentine’s Day is coming up, I figured it would be appropriate to put up another ice cream breakfast recipe – it’s a good excuse to indulge and what better way to show your partner you love them than treating them to some ice cream for the most important meal of the day??

I’ve teamed up with Häagen-Dazs for this recipe to help celebrate their belief in the importance of real ingredients. Häagen-Dazs are on a mission to share what a real Valentine’s Day looks like.

Make breakfast memorable by having this ice cream parfait for breakfast

For me, that’s sharing my Valentine’s Day recipe I am planning to make for brunch, but I wouldn’t mind waking up to this Sweetheart Ice Cream Breakfast Parfait in bed tomorrow (hint hint, Jonathan!).

Häagen-Dazs for breakfast is a luxury for me. I love the silkiness, smoothness and creaminess of their authentic dairy ice cream. The texture works beautifully in this recipe since it contrasts with the crunchy granola.

And though I admit starting the day with ice cream is a bit indulgent, I don’t feel as guilty starting the day with Häagen-Dazs since the ingredients in their ice creams have always been simple, high quality and carefully selected since they began making it in 1961.

Serve ice cream on top of fresh fruit and granola for a quick and delicious breakfast parfait

Their ice creams always start with 100% real cream and milk before any other ingredients are added in. This recipe uses the Häagen-Dazs Strawberry Cheesecake, which is a combination of ice cream, soft cheese and a drizzle of lemon juice, with broken pieces of chilled, baked biscuits blended in and a sweet, tangy strawberry sauce stirred through. Think classic New York Cheesecake in ice cream form. Yum.

Crunchy granola contrasts beautifully with the smooth ice cream

And here’s a little-known secret: the best way to have Häagen-Dazs ice cream is to wait 10-12 minutes after taking the tub out of the freezer before digging in so the ice cream can reach the perfect consistency (it just so happens that makes it easier to scoop out and also gives you just enough time to prep the other parts of the Sweetheart Ice Cream Breakfast Parfait!).

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Häagen-Dazs for breakfast is a luxury for me too – but – hey – gotta splurge every now and then right?! And wow – what a fantastic way to do so – loving all the textural elements of this parfait in addition to it having Häagen-Dazs in it!

What a nice treat and I think you are right the ice cream straight from freezer is too cold burn your tongue and lose the favorite.
